It's A........

GIRL! Yahoo! I am so excited to have a little baby girl first. I love that she will be a summer baby too. Maybe I should buy her a little swimsuit even though we won't be taking her to the pool while she is so little.

Oh my goodness I just can't wait to see what she will look like. I feel like there is a lot of pressure on me for her to be cute since I'm a girl and she's a girl. Ya know, mother like daughter kinda thing. I'm sure she will be adorable.

At my last appointment I had already gained ten pounds. WHAT!!??? That's crazy. I know it's good for baby and that I will continue to gain more weight, but it's still difficult to wrap my head around how large I will be for the next 5 months. That's right I'm 4 months (17 weeks). So close to being half way. As I talk with Isaac about what the future will be like I can't help but freak out for a few minutes knowing that these next five months are going to fly by. All the planning that we have to do is exciting, but overwhelming if I let myself think about it too much. So I don't think about it.

I haven't been experiencing frequent or strange cravings, yet. I just want to eat all day and it seems like she likes to eat at 4:30 in the morning. Yep I have to get up in the middle of the night and eat. Something else exciting has happened though, I felt her move. It doesn't feel like much, just little pokes and squirms. I have to sit still to feel her, but that time is so precious. I know that these kicks/pokes will get a little more uncomfortable as time goes on so I will cherish every little wiggle for now. Even right now I can feel her moving around. I have some music on right close to my belly so maybe she is dancing.

I love her already. It's so neat to know that I have been blessed with a little one to take care of for the rest of forever. For now her name is Laila, Leila, Layla??? We don't know the spelling but we will figure that out when she comes. Mommy loves her little girl! Time for nursery planning/decorating, blanket making,  and baby shower planning.
