Lora Grady Photography & 5 Months

Oh  what can I say about Lora Grady Photography???? I have too many fabulous things I could say. not only is she a dear and close friend, but she is incredibly talented and has an eye for capturing the most gorgeous and precious moments. I was fortunate enough to be able to make a tulle skirt for her latest SPRING photo shoot.

When she asked me to make her a skirt from tulle I was hesitant mostly because I had never worked with tulle and because I would be making up this "pattern"/idea without a tutorial or pattern. I usually don't use patterns anyway when I sew, mostly because I make very simple crafts that require only a straight stitch. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed, but I knew I could do it. I wish I would have made a tutorial or something so that others could recreate if they truly wanted to, BUT I didn't.

Her amazingly lovely photos are so wonderful at hiding all the flaws in the skirt and she was thrilled with how it turned out. Considering I did this without guidance I was pretty happy with how it turned out and even more stunned when I saw the photos. View her stunning work: Lora Grady Photography

Spring has finally Sprung!

Next project...
Baby Girl Headbands

5 Months Down and 4 To Go. Baby L is on her way with lots of wiggles and she helping me to count my blessings. Isaac is loving her movements too. Today he saw my belly move for the first time. He likes to touch my belly to feel her kick and I finally got him to talk to her. Apparently talking to someone else's stomach can be uncomfortable.

  1. Ah I am jealous you are friends with that photographer! I took a gander, and now have the desire to learn more on photography. Also, please teach me how to sew. You are great!

  2. "talking to someone else's stomach can be uncomfortable" Sounds like Isaac talks to his own stomach all the time, but found it weird to talk to yours! bahaha! That just sounded funny to him. I can just picture him, "Stomach, how are you doing?" "Oh good, I'm glad you're feeling well." "How about you and me go catch a movie?!"
